LABOR PRACTICES

Our employees are the heart and soul of our business. If they do not feel taken care of, how can they care for our customers and ecosystem? Plato stated that “Without labor, nothing prospers”, that is why this might be the most important area of practices in our organization.

Adopt at least one of these practices. If you have any other practice that might be relevant and not already in a compliance book, please share it with the community:

• Have a volunteering program within your organization to promote giving back to community (

• Offer retirement plan matching fund to your employees

 

• Offer profit sharing programs for employees (

 

• Have open hiring practice for entry levels that do not require special qualification (Graystone Bakery)

 

• Offer shares to your employees as part of the compensation

 

• Map your employee financial situation to assure no one is under the poverty line

• Offer continuous education to all employees, even if it means they might leave your company
